How to calculate the number of panels for wall(s) with angles

We’ll help you calculate the number of panels needed for your wallpaper or mural project for walls with corners.

Step 1

Choose your type of paper

Choose your type of paper: pre-pasted or self-adhesive. Depending on the type of paper you choose, it will affect your panel count calculation.

To make the right choice, you can refer to our Pre-pasted or Self-Adhesive page.

Step 2

Take the measurements of the walls

Measure the walls where you want to install your wallpaper, noting the widths and heights precisely in inches.

It’s also important to measure the heights to be covered at both the lowest and highest points of the corner.

Step 3

If applicable, take the measurements of the openings

Measure the distance between the corner of the wall and the edge of the window or door trim. It’s also important to measure the distance between the ceiling and the top of the trim, as well as between the bottom of the trim and the floor. The key is to take accurate measurements of all the surfaces that will be covered with wallpaper to ensure an accurate calculation.

Step 4

Calculate the number of panels

The calculation of the number of panels for a corner wall is more complex, so we will create a scaled plan to optimize the height of each panel. Send us an email at info@stationd.ca including photos of your walls, precise measurements, your choice of wallpaper (pre-pasted or self-adhesive), and your desired pattern.

This angles wall plan service is free and will help you avoid any surprises during installation.
